K. Gus Vlahadamis
Founding Partner
Gus graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, finance and quantitative analysis, his Master of Business Administration in finance, and his Juris Doctorate. Gus has spent his career working mainly in the tax and estate planning areas for law firms and other companies such as Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Gus started the firm in Texas in 2001. His practice focuses on trust and estate planning, corporate structuring, commercial contracts, international tax planning and income tax solutions.
Gus is a member of both the Wisconsin Bar and Texas Bar.
Courteney T. Daniel
Partner
Courteney graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with her Bachelor of Journalism and Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. She graduated from the University of Houston Law Center with her Juris Doctorate degree.
While at UHLC, Courteney was the Executive Editor of the Houston Journal of International Law and was published in Volume 35 of the Journal. She has been the Chairwoman of the Houston Journal of International Law Advisory Board since 2020—the Journal’s first female chair since its inception.
Courteney joined the firm as a second year law student and was made equity partner in 2022. Her practice focuses on trust and estate planning, corporate structuring, commercial contracts and business transactions.
Courteney is a member of the Texas Bar.
Daniel H. Cooke
Of Counsel
Daniel graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of International Relations and a Minor in Spanish. He graduated from Wayne State University with his Juris Doctorate degree.
While at Wayne State, Daniel served as the President of the Entrepreneurship and Business Law Society and received an Exemplary Service Award for his tenure with the Business and Community Law Clinic. Daniel also received national recognition as a top-placed oral advocate during the American Bar Association's National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Additionally, Daniel gained invaluable practical experience while working for this firm during the entirety of his law school years.
After graduation from law school, Daniel started his career as an attorney with two prominent Detroit, Michigan-based law firms before forming his own firm, Daniel Cooke Law, PLLC. His practice focuses on new business formation, corporate governance, venture capital financings, mergers & acquisitions, commercial transactions, and intellectual property.
Daniel is a member of the Michigan Bar.
